We are currently looking for interns interested in pursuing a career in game design, and digital arts.
Description :
With the gaming industry expanding at an unprecedented rate, the requirement for qualified and skilled game creators and digital artists has increased. Selected internswill be able to learn the aspects of game design & digital art and impart that learning to an audience of likeminded individuals.
Eligible candidates will
- Learn time management, team building, teaching, and oral presentation skills.
- Be surrounded by a network of like-minded individuals to share ideas and who are eager to learn from him/her.
- Be qualified candidates are proficient in one or more of the following areas: Action Game Design [www.gamebrix.com] , Flash, 3D animation (Blender, Anim8or), Robotics (Lego Mindstorms), Java, PHP programming.
- Learn to to mentor and provide engaging and Fun instructions to students 8 to 14 years.
- Enjoy an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to reinforce technical and creative skills while having a fun summer experience at one of our great Boston or NH Location.
- Receive a non negotiable competitive compensation package which includes a weekly salary.
- Receive referrals and certificate of internship.
- Will receive required training and orientation. (Case by case basis)
Requirements.
Candidates interested in being interns will posses or be willing to acquire the following.
- Be a self starter showing initiative and creative thinking.
- Be able to think on the feet, and out of the box.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with different age groups with ease and engage their attention.
- Be responsible and have the ability to master building animations and games with www.gamebrix.com – (A MUST REQUISTE)
- Punctual and well mannered,
- Be dependable, reliable - Instructors, TAs – be present from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM –(Nashua till 5:00 PM)
- Be able to travel to the location of the program
-Must be available from July 7 through August 15, 2008 – Planned absences must be detailed prior to internship
- Have the Ability to learn new programs – Java, PHP
- Display and develop leadership skills to deliver an outstanding program –
(It’s just not a summer job)
- Have the ability to inspire students from Grades 3 to 10 to learn new technology and orient them to develop their skills.
- Play a proactive role in preparing courses and training others.
- Be able to develop outlines of how you would teach the program.
- Posses excellent writing skills.
- Be able to schedule and provide summary reports every week
